BREAKING OUT OF MY COCOON

Posted: November 5, 2013 in catalogue

Tiny little pebbles laid on the leaf,

Marking the onset of a journey so brief.

Features to define different colours of life,

Are they enough to say how better we strive?

Hatched the egg and out came the show stealer,

Carefree stage of the long caterpillar.

Crawling the leaf with their tiny little feet,

All what they do is eat, breathe and eat.

Bigger and stronger when they grow,

More food is the reason for which they bow.

Shedding the skin for them to align,

In an environment to which they will resign.

When larva has nothing more to increase,

Then comes the pupa to its release.

Inside happens the remarkable transformation,

Adding tissues and limbs for better adaptation.

Squeezing itself in the space to get folded,

As per the needs of the world to get moulded.

Perseverance and patience is what they learn,

Content of the flight is something they yearn.

Breaks the cocoon for the beautiful wings to flutter,

To move away from the surrounding clutter.

Flying high being its own protector,

In the direction of its soulful nectar.
